The Coal Shed
Brighton’s CoalShed restaurant has only been open for about six months, but it’s already causing a bit of a stir. It’s a great space on the site of the former bar the Full Moon on Boyce Street, Brighton. Time and care have clearly gone into the renovation which now includes a private dining room upstairs, and a tasteful open plan interior downstairs. We have just recently worked on a shoot of both the restaurant itself and their fantastic menu. Of course, we are fairly biased, being big fans of well sourced and well aged steak, but this and the brilliant seafood selection make for a great restaurant, and service is run skillfully by some very experienced staff.
Last week we had an early start at the restaurant, shooting a selection of dishes from their menu. Owner Razak Helalat wanted the plates to look as natural and authentic as possible, representing the food just as it’s served in the restaurant. So if this whets your appetite give them a call on 01273 322998 and reserve a table. The new images will be up on their website soon in the meantime you can look longingly onscreen.
