Create takes the plunge
Last month Create were invited on a one-to-one training day with internationally renowned underwater photographer Martin Edge, and we naturally jumped at the chance.
Martin has been diving and taking pictures for 30 years, winning awards for his underwater photography. He is the author of “The Underwater Photographer,” now in it’s 4th edition and widely regarded as the go-to source material for the subject.
“Over the last 20 years he has ….. introduced, developed, motivated and mentored many hundreds of underwater photographers from all parts of the globe. Martin is considered to be one of the most influential teachers of underwater photography in the world today.”
Create’s Managing Director Nikki Acott was given the opportunity to spend the morning with Martin in the classroom discussing specific underwater shooting techniques, equipment and the constructs of successful aquatic photography and how to apply them “in the wild”.
The day was rounded off in the pool practicing what had been discussed. A couple of the results are shown above.
Nikki will also be accompanying Martin on a training fortnight in the Sudan in September so expect some great imagery from that!
Martin’s website is http://www.edgeunderwaterphotography.com and his book is available online from Amazon.
