May’s Blood of the young is an exciting one-off event to be curated by The Independent Photographers Union, a global collective of some of the most groundbreaking young curators working in photography today. Despite long-term mutual support, this is the first time that all collectives have joined forces to create a group show since being independently established around 4 years ago.
They include; Canadian ‘Blood of the Young‘, UK based ‘We are lucky‘, ‘The Photocopy club‘, ‘Holy Ghost‘ and ‘Fourteen-nineteen‘, US Magazine ‘Mossless, and ‘Hardworkers Club‘ from Australia – all of whom were created to give a platform for young photographers to show their work.
In addition the exhibition, bands and skateboarding, Blood of the Young will host the first UK showing of the new photography skate film Format Perspective, panel discussions on the art of self publishing and curation, and the chance to buy limited edition books and zines.
